Abstract
A optical distance measurement system includes an emission unit that emits a light beam, and a reception unit that receives a reflected light beam after the light beam is reflected by the target. When the emission unit emits the light beam, the control module converts the reflected light beam into a corresponding electrical signal through a processing unit. A data acquisition unit calculates a signal condition from multiple electrical signals and, via the processing unit, arranges the signal conditions in order of magnitude. The data acquisition unit then collects a set of signal conditions with the largest magnitude, which is subsequently stored in a memory module, containing the electrical signal with the largest magnitude in the set. This reduces the storage space of the optical distance measurement system, while enabling the system to complete the analysis and processing of the reflected signal more quickly.
