Universal flash storage host controller and universal flash storage device synchronization

Abstract

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a method performable by a universal flash storage (UFS) host controller. The method includes disabling an auto-hibernate idle timer (AHIT) while a communication link between the UFS host controller and a UFS device is configured in a first operating mode. The method includes sending a command to the UFS device via the communication link after disabling the AHIT. The method includes receiving a response from the UFS device after sending the command. The method includes transitioning the communication link from the first operating mode to a second operating mode after receiving the response.
