Abstract

A roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification is disclosed. It includes a database module, a parking management module, a parking space notification module and a reward and punishment confirmation module. This invention uses people's psychology of seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages to guide users to set a reasonable parking space usage time, and encourages them to come back to pick up their cars and leave before the time expires, so that the next car owner waiting for the parking space can use it seamlessly. Car owners who need parking can wait for a parking space with the nearest estimated departure time, reducing waiting time and unnecessary fuel consumption.

Claims

1. A roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification, built on a server host and connected to a plurality of mobile communication devices via a network, comprising: a database module storing a plurality of user IDs and a numerical value bound to each user ID; a parking management module performing the following operations: receiving a parking message from an active mobile communication device logged in with an active user ID, the parking message including a vehicle coordinate and a scheduled departure time; setting the vehicle coordinate as used; and receiving a departure message from the active mobile communication device and desetting the vehicle coordinate; a parking space notification module providing the scheduled departure time and the vehicle coordinate to all mobile communication devices logged in with the user ID; and a reward / penalty confirmation module performing the following operations: Based on the actual departure time of the departure message, calculate the difference between the scheduled departure time and the actual departure time; and if the difference is within an acceptable range, increase the point value bound to the active user ID; if the difference exceeds the acceptable range, decrease the point value bound to the active user ID.

2. The roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in claim 1, wherein the allowable range is 0 to a positive first time difference, a negative second time difference to 0, or between the first time difference and the second time difference.

3. The roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in claim 1, wherein the parking message further includes a license plate number, and the parking space notification module further provides the license plate number to mobile communication devices logged in with other user IDs.

4. In the roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in claim 3, if the difference is positive and greater than an invalid notification time, the parking space notification module shall stop providing the license plate number, the scheduled departure time and the vehicle coordinates to all mobile communication devices logged in with the user ID.

5. The roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in request item 4, wherein the reward and punishment confirmation module terminates the modification of the point value bound to the active user ID.

6. The roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in claim 4, wherein the invalid notification period is at least 30 minutes.

7. The roadside parking management system based on scheduled departure notification as described in claim 5, wherein the parking space notification module further performs the following operations: after setting the scheduled departure time, on a screen of all mobile communication devices logged in with a user ID and running a mobile application, a map image near the vehicle coordinates is displayed through the mobile application; a mark is displayed at the location corresponding to the vehicle coordinates in the map image; the scheduled departure time and the license plate number are displayed on the screen; and after the actual departure time, the mark is removed from the map image, and the scheduled departure time and the license plate number are removed from the screen.
