Abstract

This invention pertains to an improved operating device for low-voltage air circuit breakers, designed to address the shortcomings in existing technologies. In conventional low-voltage air circuit breakers, the under-voltage trip coil, when continuously energized, can overheat and burn out, causing the internal tripping mechanism to become locked and resulting in damage. This prevents the circuit breaker from achieving forced locking functionality. If the breaker is set to trip separately, it cannot enforce forced locking, which may lead to issues such as unintentional power transmission.The improved operating device in this invention includes a power supply unit, an electrical operation control unit, a manual operation restriction unit, and an external command unit. The microprocessor in the electrical operation control unit operates according to the program settings, enabling normal opening and closing functions. The manual operation restriction unit replaces the traditional under-voltage coil to prevent long-term energization and potential burnout. Additionally, it ensures the ability to achieve forced opening and forced closing, effectively preventing accidental power transmission and unintentional power interruption.
