Abstract

The object of this invention is to suppress the increase in processing load during pre-processing or post-processing in image coding methods that use pre-processing and post-processing. The image coding apparatus of this invention includes: a first acquisition means for acquiring a first coordinate representing the position of a partial region in an image; a second acquisition means for acquiring a second coordinate by processing the first coordinate to make its value even; a third acquisition means for acquiring a third coordinate based on the partial region represented by the second coordinate; and a correction means for processing the third coordinate to make its value even.
