[0021] Currently, servers are usually equipped with fans. During the use of the server, the fans need to be removed from the server periodically for maintenance or replacement. However, due to the compact structure of the server, it is usually necessary to use tools to open the outer shell of the host to remove the fan. The operation is complicated and time-consuming, so there is a problem of inconvenience in maintenance.

[0022] In view of this, it is necessary to provide a main unit housing that facilitates the installation and removal of the fan and a server having the main unit housing. The main unit housing includes a casing, a front bracket, and a rear bracket. The casing includes a side shell plate and a bottom shell plate that are perpendicularly connected. An installation space is formed inside the casing next to the side shell plate, and an opening communicating with the installation space is provided on the front side of the casing. The front bracket is slidably mounted on the bottom shell plate. The front bracket can slide out or slide into the installation space through the opening. A lower receiving area and a front receiving area are formed inside the front bracket. The front receiving area is located above the lower receiving area. The lower receiving area is used to receive an expansion card, and the front receiving area is used to receive hardware, which is inserted into the expansion card. The rear bracket is fixed to the front bracket. A rear receiving area for installing the fan is formed inside the rear bracket. The rear receiving area is located above the lower receiving area and behind the front receiving area. A flip plate is provided on the top of the rear bracket. The flip plate can be flipped relative to the rear bracket to open or cover the rear receiving area. When the front and rear brackets slide out of the mounting space, the flip plate is outside the opening, allowing the flip plate to open the rear receiving area for the fan to enter and exit the rear receiving area; when the flip plate covers the rear receiving area, the rear and front brackets can slide into the mounting space so that the fan and expansion card can connect to the motherboard of the main unit case.

[0023] When using the aforementioned host case, if it is necessary to remove the fan inside the host case, simply pull out the front bracket. The rear bracket will slide out of the installation space along with the front bracket. After sliding out, the flip panel is located outside the opening. Then, rotate the flip panel to open the rear receiving area, and the fan can be removed from the rear receiving area. After putting the fan back into the rear receiving area, simply push back the front bracket. The rear bracket will slide into the installation space along with the front bracket, and the fan and expansion card will naturally connect to the host case's motherboard. The host case improves the convenience of fan installation and removal by means of the above method, without having to disassemble the host case's outer shell, making it easier to install and remove the fan.

[0024] Some embodiments of this application will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Unless otherwise specified, the following embodiments and features can be combined with each other.

The rear bracket 30 is fixedly installed on the front bracket 20. The rear bracket 30 has a rear receiving area 30a for installing the fan 300. The rear receiving area 30a is located above the lower receiving area 20a and behind the front receiving area 20b. The top of the rear bracket 30 is provided with a flip plate 40. The flip plate 40 can be flipped relative to the rear bracket 30 to open or cover the rear receiving area 30a, so that the fan 300 can enter and exit the rear receiving area 30a.

[0026] As an example, the expansion card 201 is a Riser card, which can provide an additional slot on the motherboard of the server 200, so that the server 200 can connect more hardware 202. The hardware 202 is a PCIe (peripheral component interconnect express) card, which is a high-speed, high-bandwidth serial interconnect technology specifically designed to connect various peripherals on the computer motherboard, such as graphics cards, audio cards, network cards or hard disk drives.

[0027] When it is necessary to remove the fan 300 inside the main unit casing 100, the user only needs to pull out the front bracket 20 by hand. The rear bracket 30 will slide out of the installation space 13 along with the front bracket 20. After sliding out, the flip plate 40 is located outside the opening 14. Then the user only needs to open the rear receiving area 30a with the flip plate 40 and take out the fan 300 from the rear receiving area 30a.

[0028] When it is necessary to install the fan 300 back into the main unit case 100, the user only needs to place the repaired fan 300 back into the rear receiving area 30a, then cover the flip plate 40, and then push the front bracket 20 back. The rear bracket 30 will slide into the installation space 13 along with the front bracket 20. After sliding all the way in, the fan 300 and the expansion card 201 will naturally plug into the motherboard of the main unit case 100. As can be seen from the above, the main unit case 100 can improve the convenience of removing and installing the fan 300 by means of the above method, without having to disassemble the outer shell of the main unit case 100, making it easier to remove and install the fan 300.

[0029] In some embodiments, please refer to Figures 5 to 7. The front bracket 20 includes a base plate 21. The base plate 21 protrudes towards the bottom shell plate 12 to form a ridge 211. The bottom shell plate 12 is provided with a plurality of pins 121 arranged along the length of the ridge 211. The pins 121 can slide within the groove 212. When the front bracket 20 slides into or out of the mounting space 13, the pins 121 can enter or leave the groove 212 through the through-hole 213. The head of the pin 121 is used to limit the front bracket 20 so that the front bracket 20 does not detach from the bottom shell plate 12.

[0030] In some embodiments, the front support 20 further includes a first side plate 22 and a second side plate 23, the first side plate 22 and the second side plate 23 being respectively connected to opposite sides of the base plate 21. The first side plate 22 is the side of the front support 20 away from the side shell plate 11, and the second side plate 23 is the side of the front support 20 close to the side shell plate 11. The lower receiving area 20a is formed between the base plate 21, the first side plate 22 and the second side plate 23, and the front receiving area 20b is formed on the first side plate. Between the first side plate 22 and the second side plate 23, the rear bracket 30 is installed behind the first side plate 22 and the second side plate 23. The length of the lower receiving area 20a is greater than or equal to the sum of the lengths of the front receiving area 20b and the rear receiving area 30a. Because the expansion card 201 is placed horizontally in the lower receiving area 20a and the length of the expansion card 201 is relatively long, the hardware 202 and the fan 300 are placed above the expansion card 201, with the hardware 202 in front and the fan 300 in the back, in order to improve space utilization.

[0031] In some embodiments, the front bracket 20 is equipped with a layered plate 24 in the lower receiving area 20a, which divides the lower receiving area 20a into an upper layer 20a1 and a lower layer 20a2. The expansion card 201 is located in the upper layer 20a1 and is supported by the top surface of the layered plate 24. The main housing 100 also includes a cable chain 50, one end of which extends from the rear end of the layered plate 24 to the upper layer 20a1 and connects to the rear end of the expansion card 201. The other end of the cable chain 50 is located in the lower layer 20a2 and is fixed to the bottom housing plate 12 by a fixing piece 51.
