Abstract

The present invention provides a body cooling device, which is enclosed in a container containing a refrigerant and a carbon dioxide release source, and is used in contact with the skin to allow the released carbon dioxide to permeate into the body. The device has a control member in the area where it contacts the skin during use, i.e., the skin contact area. The control member is made of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer or silicone rubber and includes: a carbon dioxide release control member that controls the amount of carbon dioxide released from the interior; and a temperature control member that controls the surface temperature of the skin contact area.
