Abstract

An optical accessory for smartphones is provided that can illuminate the subject's eyes with slit light even when the smartphone's light source and the camera lens are far apart. An optical accessory (10) detachably mounted on a smartphone (50) comprises: a frame (1) which engages with a side of the smartphone (50) on which a light source (52) and a camera lens (53) are located; a convex lens (2) which is disposed on the outer surface of the frame (1) in front of the light source and camera lens side (1a), and is positioned in front of the camera lens (53) to focus on the subject's eyes when the smartphone (50) is held in the frame (1); a slit light forming part (4) which is disposed on the same surface as the front (1a), and is positioned obliquely in front of the convex lens (2) when the smartphone (50) is held in the frame (1), and illuminates the subject's eyes with light emitted from the light source (52) as slit light (8); and a light waveguide (3) which propagates the light emitted from the light source (52) to the slit light forming part (4).
