Abstract

This invention provides a method for treating patients with p53 gene mutation- or defect-negative cancers or tumors, using a drug containing a DNA alkylating agent prodrug compound as a monotherapy or in combination with other drugs, and its pharmaceutical use. Specifically, the DNA alkylating agent prodrug compound is selected from hypoxia-activated DNA alkylating agent prodrug compounds, AKR1C3-activated DNA alkylating agent prodrug compounds, and DNA alkylating agent prodrug compounds initiated by β-glucosidase (β-D-Glucosidase) or β-galactosidase (β-Galactosidase).
