Abstract

The present invention relates to a composition system for a water-mixable dry mix used in the production of a heat protection layer (34) in a metallurgical furnace (2), wherein the walls (12) of the metallurgical furnace (2) separate a chamber (10) from an external space (14), the heat protection layer (34) being designed to achieve a controllable temperature drop between a chemically protective layer (38) facing the chamber (10) and a mechanically stable outer shell (30), the composition system comprising: a refractory aggregate containing an insulating material selected from alumina, aluminum silicate, silicon dioxide, magnesium oxide, or zirconium oxide, or a combination of alumina, aluminum silicate, silicon dioxide, magnesium oxide, or zirconium oxide; a cementitious binder for chemical hardening by reacting with water; and a foaming agent containing a chemically amphiphilic material, wherein, when the dry mix is ​​mixed with water, the hydrophilic portion of the amphiphilic material remains in the water, and the hydrophobic portion of the amphiphilic material faces the air or other hydrophobic substances to reduce the surface tension of the water and stabilize the bubbles.
