Abstract
This invention addresses the issue of providing a monitoring and control system for a centrifuge that can quickly detect a decrease in separation performance and prevent machine malfunction by detecting a sudden increase in solid content. The solution is achieved by having the target liquid flow in from the inlet (20) and be introduced into the centrifuge (2), which is equipped with a centrifuge (2) that uses a motor (21) to rotate a separating plate, separating the introduced target liquid into sludge and a separated liquid. The separated liquid is discharged from the separated liquid outlet (22) to the outside. The separated liquid discharged from the separated liquid outlet (22) is then introduced into a centrifuge having at least the following characteristics: The separation liquid line (3) has a back pressure valve (31) and a pressure gauge (PG), and has a detection line (4) that, by adjusting the back pressure valve (31), allows a portion of the separation liquid guided to the separation liquid line (3) to be introduced into the detection line (4) which has at least a detection filter unit (40), a constant flow valve (41), and a flow meter (42). When it is determined that the measured value generated by the flow meter (42), which measures the flow rate adjusted by the constant flow valve (41) located downstream of the detection filter unit (40), is below a specified lower limit threshold for flow rate, the motor (21) is stopped.
