Cartridge type tool magazine system

Abstract

A cartridge type tool magazine system, installed on a machine tool, comprising: a tool storage device and an exchange device. The tool storage device includes: first and second tool storage areas, each with internal spaces for accommodating multiple tool holders arranged in sequence, and its second ends being first and second exchange positions, respectively; a first transfer device for controlled displacement of the tool holders at the first ends of the first and second tool storage areas; a second transfer device for controlled transport of the tool holders from the first exchange position to the first tool storage area, or from the second tool storage area to the second exchange position; and an exchange device for performing a retrieval and return action on the tool holders at the first or second exchange position, and cooperating with the first and second transfer devices to cyclically displace the tool holders within the tool storage device; the exchange device cooperates with the spindle to complete tool holder exchange, thereby constructing a dual-cycle operation system for the cartridge type tool magazine system. High-density storage and rapid exchange of tool holders are achieved through the stacking of tool holders in the dual tool storage areas and the sliding synchronous exchange logic of the exchange device.
