Abstract

A stapler is provided that can perform a stapler operation corresponding to the stapler position even when staples multiple parts of the periphery of the stapler object. The stapler includes: a stapler ejector section that ejects staples, a stapler section that bends a pair of stapler legs ejected by the stapler ejector section, a stapler drive section that performs the stapler operation on the stapler object, a detection section that actuates the stapler drive section by detecting the stapler object, and a control section that switches the position of the stapler object detected by the detection section in a preset sequence.
