Tools and Robotic Systems

Abstract

A robotic system includes a transport device, a robot, a control device, a position detection sensor, and a tool. The transport device transports a workpiece to a designated work area. The robot performs operations on the workpiece positioned within the work area. The control device controls the robot. The position detection sensor detects the arrival of the workpiece upstream of the work area in the transport direction. The tool includes a tool base and a wall. The tool base is fixed to the robot. The wall is fixed to the tool base and blocks the workpiece by contacting a portion downstream of the workpiece in the transport direction. The tool and the transport device are independently configured and positioned in a standby position further into the work area than the workpiece.
