Abstract

Previously, there was a pursuit to improve the accuracy of workpiece position detection. The apparatus 100 of the present invention includes: an image acquisition unit 106, which acquires: first image data of the work area captured for performing a first operation on a workpiece in a work area, and second image data of the next work area captured for performing a second operation on a workpiece in a next work area after the first operation; a composite image generation unit 108, which generates composite image data by combining the first image data and the second image data; and a position detection unit 104, which detects the position of the workpiece to be the object of the second operation based on the composite image data.
