Acetylated wood

Abstract

This invention provides an acetylated wood that ensures durability and reduces manufacturing costs. The acetylated wood 30 of this invention comprises: a surface side portion 32, including a wood surface 31, and acetylated; and an inner side portion 33 located inside the surface side portion 32. In the infrared absorption spectrum of the surface side portion 32, the peak height ratio A / B of the peak height at 1740 cm⁻¹ to the peak height at 1510 cm⁻¹ is 2 or more. In the infrared absorption spectrum of the inner side portion 33, the peak height ratio C / D of the peak height at 1740 cm⁻¹ to the peak height at 1510 cm⁻¹ is 0.5 or less.
