Image and information integration system and method for vehicle-mounted devices

Abstract

An image and information integration system and method for vehicle-mounted devices are provided. The system comprises a driving recorder device and a central control device. The driving recorder device includes an imaging unit, a display unit, a first transmission interface, a second transmission interface, and a first processing unit. The first processing unit is connected to the imaging unit, the display unit, the first transmission interface, and the second transmission interface. The central control device includes a third transmission interface, a fourth transmission interface, and a second processing unit. The second processing unit is connected to a positioning unit, the third transmission interface, and the fourth transmission interface. The third transmission interface is connected to the first transmission interface, while the fourth transmission interface is connected to an expansion device. The second processing unit receives external information from the expansion device and transmits the external information to the driving recorder device. The first processing unit overlays the external information onto the driving images, thereby integrating the external information with the captured driving footage.
