Child safety system

Abstract

A support base of a child seat system positionable on a vehicle seat and including a child seat positionable on the support base includes a body having a base bottom sized to receive the child seat thereon. The base bottom defines a front end of the support base. A base back extends from the base bottom and defines a rear end of the support base. A tether assembly extends from at least one tether location at the base back. The front end of the support base is spaced from the rear end of the support base. A central plane extends through a center of the support base parallel to a front direction extending between the rear end and the front end. The at least one tether location at the base back is offset from the central plane.
