Abstract
A method for recycling negative electrode materials from waste lithium-ion batteries and converting them into graphite ceramics involves physically decomposing the waste lithium-ion batteries and then obtaining the internal negative electrode materials through washing, dehydration, drying, and sieving. These negative electrode materials are essentially ordinary carbon powder, mostly artificial graphite with a carbon content of over 99%. The artificial graphite content is then adjusted and mixed with clay or porcelain clay at a certain ratio, such as 0.5% to 5%. The mixture is then shaped into various pottery items, such as cups, plates, bowls, ladles, basins, pots, urns, steamers, spoons, and other everyday edible ceramics. These are then fired into ceramic or pottery products. The firing methods can be high-temperature oxidation firing or high-temperature reduction firing, and can be carried out in electric kilns, gas kilns, wood-fired kilns, or microwave oven kilns.
