Abstract

A ferrite powder comprising hexagonal magnetite-type ferrite powder containing 50.0% to 65.0% by mass of iron (Fe), 6.0% to 9.0% by mass of strontium (Sr), and 0.3% to 14.0% by mass of zirconium (Zr). The content of ferrous ions (Fe2+) is 0.5% to 5.5% by mass, the content of magnetite (Fe3O4) phase is 5.0% to 20.0% by mass, the saturation magnetization is 50 emu / g to 75 emu / g, and the volume resistivity is 1.0 × 10⁹ Ω·cm or less.
