Abstract
This invention relates to a method for removing trace components (3) from an anionic surfactant (2), particularly dialkyl, using a rotating packed bed apparatus (1). The method (1000) includes the following steps: setting (1010) a low pressure in a processing chamber (11); feeding (1020) the anionic surfactant (2) to be treated to a rotor unit (20) through a liquid inlet pipe (14); feeding (1030) a stripping medium (4) for treating the anionic surfactant (2) supplied to the rotor unit (20) through a stripping medium inlet opening (12) to the rotor unit, the rotor unit being disposed inside the processing chamber (11) set to a low pressure, such that the stripping medium flows in the rotor unit (20) in the opposite direction to the anionic surfactant; rotating (1040) the rotor unit ( At the same time, the anionic surfactant (2) and the stripping medium (4) are fed to the rotating rotor unit (20), so that the anionic surfactant (2) is transported outward along the radial direction of the rotating rotor unit (20) due to centrifugal force, and the stripping medium flows radially inward through the rotor unit (20) toward the rotation axis (A) of the rotor unit (20), wherein trace components are removed from the anionic surfactant by the stripping medium flowing in the countercurrent direction along the anionic surfactant and in contact with the anionic surfactant; the treated anionic surfactant (2a) is discharged (1050) through the liquid outlet opening (15); and the stripping medium (4) transported through the rotor unit (20) and the trace components (3) removed from the anionic surfactant (2) are discharged (1060) through the stripping medium outlet opening (13). The invention relates to a method for removing trace components (3) from an anionic surfactant (2), in particular for removing dioxane from the anionic surfactant, using a rotating packed bed device (1), the method (1000) comprising following steps: setting (1010) a low-pressure in the processing chamber (11), feeding (1020) the anionic surfac-tant (2) to be treated to the rotor unit (20) through the liquid inlet conduit (14), feeding (1030) the stripping medium (4) for treating the anionic surfactant (2) provided to the rotor unit (20) through the stripping medium inlet opening (12) into the rotor unit that is arranged inside of the processing chamber (11) that is set to low-pressure, such that the stripping medium flows in the opposite direction to the anionic surfactant within the rotor unit (20),rotating (1040) the rotor unit (20) while feeding the anionic surfactant (2) and the stripping medium (4) to the rotating rotor unit (20) such that the anionic surfactant (2) is conveyed outward in the radial direction of the rotating rotor unit (20) due to the centrifu-gal force while the stripping medium flows inward through the rotor unit (20) in the radial direction towards the rotational axis (A) of the rotor unit (20), wherein the trace compo-nents are removed from the anionic surfactant by the stripping medium flowing in a counter current direction along and contacting the anionic surfactant, discharging (1050) the treated anionic surfactant (2a) through the liquid outlet opening (15), and discharging (1060) the stripping medium (4) conveyed through the rotor unit (20) and trace compo-nents (3) removed from the anionic surfactant (2) through the stripping medium outlet opening (13).,
