Sweet potato processing equipment and processing methods

Abstract

The objective of this invention is to provide a processing apparatus for sterilizing sweet potatoes and enabling their long-term preservation. The sweet potato processing apparatus 100 of this invention includes: a sterilization and washing device 30 for sterilizing and washing sweet potatoes (200); an inlet and conveying device 20 for inleting the sweet potatoes (200) into the sterilization and washing device 30; and a sweet potato discharge device 40 for moving the sweet potatoes (200) treated by the sterilization and washing device 30 downstream. The sterilization and washing device 30 is provided with a plurality of brush rollers 60 that rotate while moving the sweet potatoes (200) downstream, and a spraying device 65 that sprays washing water containing ozone water onto the plurality of brush rollers 60.
