Abstract

[Solution Means] A method of manufacturing glass strands characterized by the inclusion of: (1) an extension step in which the raw yarn containing the glass composition is extended into glass fibers at melting temperatures of 1,500–3,500°C and a tension of 0.1–1.0 cN / root, which contains more than 90 mass% of SiO2 composition; In the bundling step, the glass fibers obtained in the aforementioned extension step were tied into bundles with 30 to 400 roots to produce glass strands.
