Optical glass and optical components are provided. This invention provides optical glass with high refractive index and low specific gravity while reducing costs, and optical components comprising this optical glass. In the glass composition of this optical glass, expressed as a percentage by mass, the content of SiO2 is 0-20%, B2O3 is 5-30%, BaO is 0-6.5%, La2O3 is 29-55%, TiO2 is 5-50%, Nb2O5 is 0-5%, WO3 is 0-0.6%, CaO is less than 15%, ZnO is 0-20%, ZrO2 is 0-20%, and the mass ratio of the total content of TiO2 and ZrO2 to the content of CaO ((TiO2 + ZrO2) / CaO) is greater than 3.3.
