Abstract

The present invention relates to a cubic boron nitride polycrystal comprising 95.0% by volume or more of cubic boron nitride, wherein in 10 Raman spectra obtained from any 10 locations of the cubic boron nitride polycrystal, one or more of the Raman spectra have one or both of a first peak present at a Raman shift of 1047 cm⁻¹ to 1053 cm⁻¹ and a second peak present at a Raman shift of 1069 cm⁻¹ to 1078 cm⁻¹.
