Abstract

A process to reduce the concentration of at leat one impurity in a product mixture comprising a fluorinated dihydroolefin and the impurity is provided wherein the fluorinated dihydroolefin has the formula RF1CH=CHRF2, wherein RF1 and RF2 are C1 to C6 fluoroalkyl groups, and the impurity is a fluorinated olefin, a fluorinated diene, a fluorinated alkyne or a mixture of two or more thereof. In one embodiment, the at least one impurity comprises a fluorinated olefin having the formula RF1CH=CFRF2.
