Abstract

This invention relates to a polymer component (18) for use in a fluid guiding device in contact with a fluid. The polymer component (18) includes a section (22) that contacts the medium, the section being at least partially made of a crosslinkable polymer material (48). The crosslinkable polymer material includes at least one polyolefin (50) functionalized with silane (52) and at least one silanol condensation catalyst (62), wherein at least some of the silanes are non-crosslinked silanes. This invention also relates to a fluid guiding device (10) and its use.
