Abstract

A surface protective composition is provided, capable of forming a water-washable protective film after at least one treatment selected from light irradiation and heating. The surface protective composition comprises: a polymer (A) having a crosslinking group; an acid generator (B) comprising at least one selected from a photoacid generator and a thermal acid generator; and an acid-decomposable crosslinking agent (C) capable of reacting with the crosslinking groups of the polymer (A) to form an acid-degrading crosslinked structure.
