Polycarbonate oligomers and resin compositions

Abstract

This invention provides polycarbonate oligomers and resin compositions comprising the aforementioned polycarbonate oligomers. The polycarbonate oligomers related to this invention are polycarbonate oligomers comprising a constituent unit (A) from bisphenol and a constituent unit (B) from a polyol compound with three or more functions. The polycarbonate oligomers have a structure at the end derived from the compound represented by formula (2). When the molar number of constituent unit (A) is set as a, the molar number of constituent unit (B) is set as b, and the molar number of the compound represented by formula (2) is set as z, formula (I) is satisfied. 2 < 2 × (a + b) / z < 30 (I) In formula (2), Ar is benzene, naphthalene, or biphenyl, and i is an integer from 1 to 5.
