Abstract

The present invention relates to a culture assist device comprising: an image acquisition unit that acquires images of a culture medium containing a scaffold and cells at multiple times; a past cell density estimation unit that estimates the density of the cells on the scaffold based on the images of the culture medium; a future cell density estimation unit that estimates the future cell density on the scaffold based on the multiple times and the cell density on the scaffold in the culture medium estimated by the past cell density estimation unit; and an operation time determination unit that determines the timing for operating the culture medium based on the estimated future cell density on the scaffold.
