Abstract

The object of the present invention is to efficiently suppress motion, particularly self-excited motion forces, in a vibration isolation system (3) using a compact and low-cost device. To this end, the present invention proposes an actuator device (1) for suppressing vibration of a component (5) of a vibration isolation system (3) suspended on a base component (4), wherein the actuator device (1) includes a clamping element (7) and two opposing jaws (9, 11) with retaining members (13), wherein the clamping element (7) is disposed between the two jaws (9, 11), and wherein at least one actuator device (15) is provided for clamping the clamping element (7) between the jaws (9, 11) by manipulation. The retainer (13) is floatingly supported in the suspension device (16) such that the retainer (13) can move in the direction of motion (17) of the actuator device (15) and is rigidly held in a plane (19) perpendicular to this direction (17), so that in the locked position where the clamping element (7) is clamped between the jaws (9, 11), the clamping element (7) is fixed in this plane (19) relative to the suspension device (16) of the retainer (13).
