Improved infusion tube and method thereof

Abstract

An improved infusion tube comprises an inner tube and an outer tube, with the outer tube covering the outer surface of the inner tube. A sensing unit is wound around the outer surface of the inner tube. The sensing unit consists of two parallel metal wires. When liquid leakage occurs in the inner tube, the leaked liquid causes a change in the resistance ohms between the two metal wires. Additionally, a water-absorbing pad is installed at the open end of the outer tube to absorb leaked liquid at that location, further causing a change in the ohmic value of the metal wires. The sensing unit is connected to a monitoring device. When liquid leakage occurs, the monitoring device triggers an alert based on the change in resistance, allowing users to detect and address the leakage promptly, thereby preventing equipment damage.
