Fluid control devices and their installation methods

Abstract

This invention provides a fluid control device and its installation method that can maintain the structural strength of a fluid pipe to be installed over a long period of time. The fluid control device 1 is installed in a continuous flow state on a pre-existing fluid pipe 2 constituting a pipeline, and includes: a protective pipe 20, which is sealed and externally fitted onto the outer circumferential surface of the fluid pipe 2; a housing 3, which is sealed and externally fitted onto at least a portion of the protective pipe 20; a circular rubber 26 as a sealing material, covering a specific location TP that is sandwiched between the circumferential surfaces of the fluid pipe 2 and the protective pipe 20 and is located outside the cut-off end faces 35, 35 of the fluid pipe 2; and a filler 24, which fills the space S formed between the circumferential surfaces 5 of the fluid pipe 2 and the protective pipe 20, excluding the specific location TP.
