Abstract

The optical component includes a light guide plate and an optical sheet overlapping the light guide plate in a first direction. The light guide plate includes a light-emitting surface, a back surface facing the light-emitting surface, and an incident surface and a reverse surface located between the light-emitting surface and the back surface, the incident surface and the reverse surface facing each other in the first direction and a non-parallel second direction. The optical sheet includes a first surface and a second surface facing the first surface. The optical sheet includes a substrate film and a plurality of unit prisms (a plurality) arranged in the second direction to form the second surface. The back surface, the light-emitting surface, the second surface, and the first surface are located in the first direction in this order. The hysteresis of the substrate film is 800 nm or more. In a projection onto a surface perpendicular to the first direction, the angle between the hysteresis axis of the substrate film and the second direction is 5° or more and 85° or less.
