Multi-view imaging system and multi-view appearance inspection system and method using it

Abstract

By using a single image processing unit, a full-circumference or multi-faceted inspection that would otherwise require multiple shooting methods can be achieved, thus simplifying the inspection system and reducing equipment costs. A multi-faceted shooting system includes: a shooting unit (1) equipped with an illumination means (15) for illuminating the object (W) to be photographed and a plurality of shooting units (10) arranged at intervals around the object; a shooting control unit (2) equipped with a shooting unit control unit (22) for controlling the shooting units and an image synthesis unit (21) for synthesizing a plurality of image signals from the object acquired by the plurality of shooting units to create a single composite image; and a communication means (3) connecting the shooting unit and the shooting control unit. The shooting unit includes a shooting means, a plane mirror arranged on the optical axis of the shooting means and rotatable relative to the optical axis, and a shooting means holding unit for holding the shooting means and the plane mirror.
