Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a method for analyzing the localization level of TDP-43 in nerve cells without the need for labeling TDP-43 with fluorescent tags or gene introduction; a kit for performing the nerve cell analysis method; and a method for screening drugs for the prevention and / or treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. According to the present invention, a method for analyzing nerve cells is provided, comprising: a staining step, using an anti-TDP-43 antibody and an antibody recognizing stress granule markers to perform immunofluorescence staining on nerve cells; a cell region identification step, identifying the cytoplasm and nucleus of nerve cells; and an analysis step, analyzing fluorescent signals derived from TDP-43 and fluorescent signals derived from stress granule markers in the cytoplasm, and analyzing the localization level of TDP-43 in nerve cells based on the presence or absence of co-localization of granular TDP-43 signals and granular stress granule marker signals in the cytoplasm.
