Abstract

The multi-directional input device of this embodiment includes: a frame; an operating member that protrudes from the frame and is tiltable; a first linkage member that rotatably holds the operating member in a second direction and, in response to the tilting operation of the operating member, is rotatably held in the frame in a first direction orthogonal to the second direction; a second linkage member that is rotatably held in the frame in the second direction in response to the tilting operation of the operating member; a first rotation detection unit that detects the rotation of the first linkage member; a second rotation detection unit that detects the rotation of the second linkage member; a spring-pushing member that applies a restoring force to the operating member to return it to a neutral position; and an elastic part integrally formed with the frame and springs the first linkage member in a pushing direction.
