Abstract

A touch button sensing error detection and correction method involves a touch panel generating multiple sets of touch information arranged in chronological order after sensing a touch action. Each set of touch information includes a touch area value, a left coordinate, a right coordinate, a top coordinate, and a bottom coordinate. The touch panel determines the largest touch area value among these sets of touch information and then calculates a geometric center coordinate using the touch area value, left coordinate, right coordinate, top coordinate, and bottom coordinate of the corresponding set. The touch panel uses this geometric center coordinate as the touch position of the touch action to avoid errors.

Claims

1. A method for detecting and correcting errors in touch buttons, comprising the following steps: (A) After a touch panel senses a touch action, it generates a plurality of touch information sets arranged in chronological order, wherein the touch action is a continuous process from when the touch panel senses being touched until it is no longer touched, and each touch information set includes a touch area value corresponding to the touched area at that time, a left coordinate corresponding to the left edge of the touched area at that time, a right coordinate corresponding to the right edge of the touched area at that time, a top coordinate corresponding to the top edge of the touched area at that time, and a bottom coordinate corresponding to the bottom edge of the touched area at that time; (B) The touch panel determines the largest corresponding touch area value in the set of touch information, and calculates a geometric center coordinate using the touch area value, the left coordinate, the right coordinate, the top coordinate and the bottom coordinate in the corresponding set of touch information; and (C) The touch panel uses the geometric center coordinate as the touch position of the touch behavior.

2. The touch button sensing error detection and correction method as described in claim 1, wherein, It also includes a step (D), in which the touch panel displays a keyboard interface having a plurality of key areas, and in step (C), the touch panel uses the geometric center coordinates as the touch position of the touch action, and uses one of the key areas corresponding to the geometric center coordinates as the selected input key for the touch action.

3. The touch button sensing error detection and correction method as described in claim 2, wherein, The touch panel includes a touch screen and a processor electrically connected to the touch screen. The touch screen can be used to sense the touch behavior and display the keyboard interface, and the processor is used to calculate the geometric center coordinates.

4. The touch button sensing error detection and correction method as described in claim 1, wherein, Each coordinate is represented by a horizontal axis coordinate and a vertical axis coordinate. The horizontal axis coordinate of the geometric center coordinate is the center point between the horizontal axis coordinates of the left and right sides of the coordinate system. The vertical axis coordinate of the geometric center coordinate is the center point between the vertical axis coordinates of the top and bottom sides of the coordinate system.
