System and method for monitoring the temperature of in-vehicle cargo

Abstract

A system and method for monitoring the temperature of in-vehicle cargo comprises a temperature measurement device, a display device, and an in-vehicle host. The display device includes a first transmission interface, a display unit, a buffer unit, and a first processing unit, wherein the first processing unit stores the current temperature into the buffer unit based on a file-writing strategy. The in-vehicle host includes a second transmission interface, a communication unit, and a second processing unit, wherein the second transmission interface is connected to the first transmission interface to send data requests to the display device and is further connected to a cloud server via the communication unit. The temperature measurement device is installed in the equipment to be measured and includes a temperature sensing unit and a third transmission interface. After detecting the current temperature, the temperature measurement device transmits the data to the display device via the third transmission interface. The display device, in response to the data request, encapsulates multiple temperature data points into a temperature set, which is then transmitted to the cloud server via the in-vehicle host.
