Abstract

[Problem] Considering the purchase period of products purchased by a user, recommend products that match the user's preferences. [Solution] The product recommendation determination device obtains purchase history information indicating the user's purchase history of products. The device identifies related products that have a defined relationship with the purchased products indicated by the purchase history information. The device calculates the similarity between the product relationship information of the purchased products and the product relationship information of the related products. Based on the length of time since the purchase of the purchased products and the calculated similarity, the device determines which related products meet the conditions for recommending to the user. The conditions for the recommended products include conditions related to either similarity or length of time since purchase. The device adjusts the ease of achieving either the similarity or length of time since purchase conditions are met based on the other. The recommended product decision device sends recommended product information to the terminal device.
