Contour extraction system and contour extraction method

Abstract

This invention provides a contour extraction system for more accurately detecting the contour of an object. The contour extraction system 10, which extracts the contour of an object 100 from a photographed image of the object 100, is characterized by comprising: a camera device 14 for photographing the object 100; an illumination unit 16 for illuminating the object 100 and capable of switching the illumination light to a first light having a first color or a second light of a second color different from the first light; and a controller 20 for calculating the contour of the object 100 based on the photographed image, wherein the controller 20 is configured to extract the contour of the object 100 within the image based on a comparison between a brightness value Lr of a first image 30R obtained under the first light and a brightness value Lb of a second image 30B obtained under the second light. This invention also provides a contour extraction method.
