Avatar representation format data types

Abstract

Methods and apparatus are provided for adding new data types to the Avatar Representation Format data property. The type property is a string providing the mime types of the data. At least one embodiment refers to different signaling ways for the geometry objects using one or more data types. The embodiments define one single signaling way of the Mesh object and add the geometry properties as a Data property. The embodiments then switch between the different signaling ways of the geometry objects by changing the value of type in mesh data. In this case the definition of the Geometry containers is external to the ARF description.
