Relays and methods for manufacturing relays

Abstract

This invention provides a relay that is easy to assemble and can operate stably, and a method for manufacturing the same. The relay of this invention comprises: a base having fixed contacts; a clip having movable contacts opposite the fixed contacts, capable of being displaced relative to the base in the x-direction; an electromagnet fixed to the base, comprising an iron core having an axial direction parallel to the z-direction; and an actuator rotatably supported by the base, driving the clip by the action of the electromagnet. The clip has a first wall portion that is elastically deformable in the y-direction and includes a hook that engages with a first protrusion formed in the base, preventing the clip from displacing relative to the base in the z-direction.
