Abstract

The nitrates are selected from potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, calcium nitrate, and combinations thereof. The carbonates are selected from sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, ammonium carbonate, and combinations thereof. The lithium battery discharge additive is mixed with water to form a lithium battery discharge solution. Furthermore, a method for discharging lithium battery using the lithium battery discharge solution is provided.
