Electrical connectors and methods for manufacturing electrical connectors

Abstract

The purpose of this disclosure is to provide an electrical connector that can reduce the degree of degradation or disorder of the characteristic impedance of a wire. The electrical connector includes a first wire and a housing. The first wire extends along a first direction and has a conductor and an insulating cover covering the conductor. The housing has a first groove extending along the first direction with a second direction intersecting the first direction as its depth direction, and receiving and supporting the first wire. A first portion of the conductor of the first wire located in the first groove, housed inside the first groove, is exposed from the cover, while at least a portion of a second portion located outside the first groove is covered by the cover.
