Cable box assembly and mating guarantee module

Abstract

This describes a multi-axis floating cable box assembly including a floating fastener and a cable box assembly. An example cable box assembly includes: a frame assembly; a mating guarantee module including a mating module and a plurality of connector housings located within the mating module; and a floating fastener that secures the mating guarantee module to the frame assembly. The mating guarantee module is capable of floating or moving in multiple directions during mating operations with a plurality of cable clips of a cable clip assembly to ensure a complete mating configuration between the plurality of housings of the cable box assembly and the conductive terminals in the plurality of cable clips. The floating fastener includes a bias spring, a floating support ring, and a support screw having a head and a rod. The rod extends through a center of the bias spring and through the floating support ring. The bias spring applies force to the floating support ring and the head of the support screw.
