Electrical connector

Abstract

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, two rows of terminals, and two conductive members. The insulating housing includes two sidewalls and a mating slot between the two sidewalls. The two rows of terminals are disposed on the sidewalls respectively. Each terminal includes a fixing portion secured to the insulating housing, and an elastic arm extending from the fixing portion and having a contacting portion protruding into the mating slot. Each row of electrical terminals includes plural differential terminals and plural ground terminals. The two conductive members are respectively fixed to corresponding sidewalls. Each conductive member includes a fixing base and plural cantilevers. The fixing base is secured to the sidewall, and the cantilevers pass through the sidewall and are configured to abut against the elastic arms of grounding terminals respectively. Therefore, the conductive members do not damage components inside the electrical connector and improve the high speed performance of the electrical connector. .
