Electric power system and method of operating the same

Abstract

An electric power system, comprising: an electricity network connected to a first switch; and a micro grid connected to the electricity network through the first switch, the micro grid comprising multiple inverter equipment connected to a bus; a controller connected to each of the first switch and the inverter equipment, and configured to transmit multiple first signals; and multiple loads connected to the inverter equipment through the bus, wherein the electricity network is connected to the bus through the first switch, and is configured to provide power to the loads, the controller is further configured to detect a first line connecting the electricity network and the micro grid, and determine whether the first line is abnormal, and when the controller determines the first line is abnormal, the controller cut off the first switch, and switch a first part of the inverter equipment to operate in a voltage source configuration through the first signals.
