Abstract

An integrated circuit and a multi-phase switch converter comprising multiple integrated circuits are disclosed. The integrated circuit has an input terminal for receiving an input voltage, a circuit breaker, and a power die. The power die comprises a high-side switch, a low-side switch, a circuit breaker controller, and a power stage controller. A first terminal of the high-side switch is coupled to a second terminal of the circuit breaker, and a second terminal of the high-side switch is coupled to a first terminal of the low-side switch. The breaker controller is coupled to a control terminal of the circuit breaker. When the breaker controller determines that the integrated circuit has failed, it controls the circuit breaker to disconnect the electrical connection between the power die and the input terminal. The power stage controller is coupled to the control terminals of both the high-side switch and the low-side switch to provide a first drive signal to the high-side switch and a second drive signal to the low-side switch. The integrated circuit of the present disclosure enables rapid fault isolation, enhancing the reliability and stability of both the integrated circuit and the multiphase switch converter.
