A control apparatus and a method for generating a drive signal for an LLC converter

Abstract

The invention provides a control apparatus and a method for generating a drive signal for an LLC converter. The control apparatus includes: a drive signal generator configured to generate the drive signal based on a PWM signal; a first capacitor coupled between a reference ground and a first pin of the drive signal generator; and a second capacitor coupled between the reference ground and a second pin of the drive signal generator. The drive signal generator is configured to: select a voltage from a voltage at the first pin and a voltage at the second pin as a voltage parameter based on the PWM signal, the voltage at the first pin, and the voltage at the second pin; determine a drive frequency indicating an operating frequency of switching transistors of the LLC converter according to the voltage parameter; and control the drive signal to have the drive frequency.
